First of all, the Dads’ Club extends Congratulations to the Brophy community – faculty, students, administrators, parents and all. It has been a tremendous first semester at Brophy with successes in sports, drama productions, speech and debate, national merit competition and many other fields. For the Dads’ Club, the first half of the year is drawing to a close and we traditionally take a break until our January meeting.
The Dads’ Club has two events in January:
A father/son service project scheduled for January 10th. More details will be provided. This project is done in conjunction with the Make-a-Difference project. Past projects have included dads and sons working at a food bank to stock food boxes and painting community centers and other sites in south Phoenix and west Phoenix. The event begins with breakfast and always ends with a BBQ meal provided by the Seal Team. We encourage all dads and sons to participate. Details will be provided.
Our January meeting will be held on January 28th in the Great Hall at 5:30 p.m. We will begin with hospitality, with our business meeting starting at 6 p.m. The feature presentation that meeting will be: “The College Admissions and Selection Process - Tips for students in each grade level in Brophy” The panel will be college admissions counselors, as well as past Brophy students who are now in college. They will be making recommendations for each grade level as to what a student and their families should be doing in order to begin the college selection process.
The Dads’ Club wishes the entire Brophy community a cheerful holiday season! We hope you have the opportunity to take time from your busy lives to share valuable time with one another this holiday season.
